I hope you have had a good couple of weeks, at DWA we can see that Spring is finally coming and with this comes a busy time for exams, professional discussions and OSCES.
We are also about to say goodbye to our amazing January 2022 cohort who reach the end of the practical period of their apprenticeship at the end of March.
We have loved working with this group of students, and I know you will join me in wishing them all well for the final stages of their qualification- they will be RVN’s before they know it!
Wednesday 13th March heralded the first of DWA’s on-line revision sessions- we have a series of three that support students who are sitting the VN07/08 exam. Our lecturer Angel Green led the session yesterday on intrapartum and neonatal care, it was well attended by a mix of external and DWA students. We have another two sessions running over the next two weeks- nutrition and fluid therapy, we also have further CPD planned with a Professional Discussion session (all you wanted to know but were afraid to ask!) being next on the list.
For employers who may be thinking about using the apprenticeship system and have not done so before we have a session on-line on Thursday 18th April so that I can answer any questions that you may have. This session is also for established apprenticeship employers who may want to have a chat about anything and everything apprenticeship wise.
